South High Library Media Center is located atSheboygan South High School, Wisconsin , USA. It encourages students by providing the excellent information and technology resources. Almost thirty Mac-computers are equipped in media center for students to use, so that they can do their own works or search for information needed.             The library also acts as a test-center for the big examination, so users are expected to research, read, or study quietly and not allowed to interfere other students who are using library as well. The Library Media Center at South High School is opened on Monday - Friday from 7.00 am. - 4.30 pm.

The Services - Borrowing: Students can borrow 3 books/day , and have to return within two weeks. - Searching: Library provides the Alexandria research program on every computers to assisting to find materials needed such as books, novels, magazines or even video or DVD or VCD in the library. You can just type what kind of books or information you need on the program, then it will show what the library has. - Computers: As I told you, they have around thirty computers can be used from 7 am till 8 am, anyway in some classes the teacher might allow you to go there to make your own work. You can also go to the library during lunch for 30 minutes. But if is not enough, another time is in the evening at 3.11 pm. till 4.30 pm. - Borrowing the DVD, VCD, or VIDEOS: This service is not as popular as books. Anyway, you can get there and show your ID card and borrow 2 of these stuffs then return it within a week.

My impression

            During the school year of 2008-2009, I got a scholarship from the American Field Service (AFS) Intercultural
Program to study at the South High School as an exchange student. This program provided me an opportunity to live
and learn in a foreign country where an environment and culture are completely different from my own. It was very
challenging as I had to adjust myself in various ways. I loved to visit this school library.

            I felt a really warm welcome from this library. Three of the librarians were really nice and kind to me, they
would help me anything they could. Everything inside the media center was well organized, clean and modern.
All students were nice and quiet , they all respected the library rules.

            The computers are excellent and easy to use and incredibly fast. Also, one of my favorite location here is the
rest room, they have 2 restrooms in front of the library, so you don’t have to walk long way while you are still doing
your work. Besides, all the resources here are great, they are new and optional. I fall in love with the library at the first
time I enter. I would like to see all school libraries in Thailand gaining more budget from the government, so that schools
can provide books, materials and computers as well as good environment because it will make Thai students happy to
go to the library and make them even clever.
